MichBio U: Environmental, Health & Safety Regulation Overview for Labs, April 21, 2021

This is a high level review of the potential regulations that may be applicable to laboratories.

Elizabeth has 20 years of experience in the environmental services industry with extensive management responsibilities for multiple facilities and service functions. She has a deep understanding of various waste management options and regulations, including RCRA, TSCA and DOT, as well a working knowledge of the Canadian requirements and transshipment.

As a Kestrel Tellevate Senior Consultant, Elizabeth’s primary functions include regulatory research, environmental compliance auditing at various industrial and chemical sites, and EHS compliance support. She has conducted extensive research on asbestos regulations and developed tracking and communication mechanisms for federal state and local asbestos regulations. In addition, she has formulated SWPPP and SPCC plans and completed environmental reporting (Tier II, TRI and air).

As a Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA), Elizabeth clearly understands the application of the principles, procedures, and techniques of auditing, as well as the regulations, and has applied these to effectively conduct audits for industrial clients across the U.S. She routinely conducts environmental and ISO audits for KTL’s clients in various states, and develops related procedures and training to help ensure regulatory compliance. Elizabeth delivers training on RCRA and the OSHA 8-hour refresher.
